She was the greatest gift we could have hoped for, and we couldn’t stop smiling because of her happy disposition. She instilled in us the values of patience, trust, and optimism.

Ward went on to state that Amani demonstrated “true strength and bravery” to her family. She triumphed against hardship early in life and was always joyful, bringing joy to every space with her grin.

He wrote, “Being her parents and being able to see the world through her eyes has changed us for the better.”

She will always remain her mother’s little girl and her father’s greatest buddy. Amani Joy, you will always be loved and missed.

He posted the message, “I’m broken,” on his Instagram story.

Amani was also honored in Ward’s lone other Instagram post.

On March 21, which is World Down Syndrome Day, the post was published. Ward mentioned Amani’s benediction once again.

“I couldn’t have hoped for a greater blessing than Amani Joy Ward. At the time, he stated, “I used to think Down syndrome was a handicap, but now I realize it is just a gift from God.”

“Being Amani’s father has taught me to be patient and to let things happen naturally.” Although we had no influence over whether she had Trisomy 21, we did have power over how we felt about it, Ward clarified.

Their “feelings of sadness and anger” “transformed into pure joy as soon as we laid eyes on her,” according to Ward.

After undergoing heart surgery, she became the happiest child I’ve ever seen. The pleased father added, “Amani is bursting with pure joy (and) a contagious laugh.” “Every time I see my baby, I can’t stop grinning.”

On November 17, Amani will celebrate her second birthday.
