The’sickening’ incident occurred when a transgender girl was attacked hysterically by a masked crowd at a roller skating party because she had lied about her gender identification before engaging in sexual activity with a boy.
After being stabbed nine times by ringleader Summer Betts-Ramsey, the 18-year-old aspiring model—who cannot be identified for legal reasons—was enticed to a roller disco where the gang yelled “tranny” as they punched, kicked, and stamped on her.
The hooded gang, dressed in masks and gloves, can be seen lying in wait and dancing enthusiastically in a parking lot as the smiling, unwary victim approaches, according to disturbing CCTV that the Met Police released today.
The teen is thrown to the ground as the mob launches hit after blow on her with “great excitement” after she gets punched in the head and face seconds after arriving, according to the footage, which the victim consented to be broadcast.
At the Harrow Leisure Centre in north-west London, on February 10 of last year, Betts-Ramsey kicked the victim at least seven times before the 19-year-old brandished a knife.
Betts-Ramsey knifed the girl 14 times in the nose, leg, hand, and buttocks while she lay defenseless.
After she was punched to the ground, all five of the youngsters jumped in, kicking, stabbing, and stamping on her as she lay curled up in a ball in an orgy of violence that was captured on camera and planned on Snapchat.
In addition to mindlessly beating her with a pair of roller skates and boots, the mob, who were unmasked for the first time during their sentence hearing today, took her handbag and ran away, leaving the victim in a pool of blood.
Only when a member of the public stepped in to prevent Betts-Ramsey from stamping on her head and phoned for an ambulance did the victim survive the attack.
As the adolescent mob was being imprisoned today, Judge Philip Katz of Kansas City remarked, “I have watched the CCTV footage of the attack more than once; it’s sickening to watch.”

This is the “sickening” moment when a transgender girl was attacked and stabbed nine times by an adolescent mob for lying about her gender identification prior to engaging in sexual activity with a guy.
Bodycam footage of Betts-Ramsey’s arrest at her residence has been made public by the Met Police.
Bradley Harris (right) had a sexual encounter with the victim on January 29 and then planned the attack. Later on, he learned that she was transgender. A mugshot of Betts-Ramsey is shown on the left.
Bodycam footage of Betts-Ramsey’s arrest at her residence the day following the vicious assault was also made public by the Met.
Together with 18-year-olds Bradley Harris, Camron Osei, and Shiloh Hindedas, as well as an unnamed 17-year-old lad, Betts-Ramsey was jailed today at the Old Bailey after they all guilty to intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.
After being identified as a “dangerous offender,” Betts-Ramsey will be sentenced to at least four-and-a-half years in a juvenile detention facility and an additional four years on license.
“Her gloating in the aftermath of the attack was shamelessly hateful and dehumanizing,” the judge continued.
From the public gallery, a woman who was thought to be Betts-Ramsey’s relative said, “People kill and get less.”
In the meantime, Osei, Hindes, and Harris have all spent the last three years incarcerated in a facility for young offenders. The 17-year-old youngster will be electronically tagged for three months and was given an 18-month youth rehabilitation order.
Later today, a sixth girl will be jailed for confessing to robbery by stealing the victim’s bag.
Living in a children’s home, Betts-Ramsey also acknowledged having an offensive weapon.
The victim denied being transgender before kissing him and engaging in an oral sex act a few days prior, and the trial heard how Harris planned the crime.
Shilou Hinds, Camron Osei, and an unnamed 17-year-old boy are also facing sentencing after they all acknowledged intentionally causing serious bodily damage.
Only because a member of the public stepped in to prevent Betts-Ramsey from stamping on her head and phoned an ambulance did the victim—who cannot be named for legal reasons—survive the attack at the Harrow Leisure Centre (pictured).
Unbeknownst to the victim, Harris recorded the sexual encounter on January 29 on a Facetime video call.
A friend then phoned Harris to tell him that the victim was transgender, which she admitted only after Harris held her at knifepoint saying ‘I’ll stab you if you lie’.
The victim later apologised, but Harris was already meticulously planning a savage revenge attack.
Hours before the attack, Betts-Ramsey was heard on the phone saying: ‘I have to go to Harrow to beat up a f-ing tranny bro.’
The knife-obsessed 19-year-old decided to bring one of the blades she had had delivered to the children’s home where she lived.
Judge Katz said: ‘The victim was viciously assaulted by five young persons each intending for her to be caused really serious injury. She was kicked and punched to the ground, they then continued to punch her, and she was stabbed repeatedly.
‘At the time of the attack she presented no threat to anyone, she did nothing to provoke the attack or to justify it in any way – unknown to [the victim] this was a planned and premeditated attack.
‘Kicking and stamping on someone when they are defenseless on the ground is abhorrent, consistently we hear in these courts about attacks of this nature which have led to death.’
The judge was asked to take into account peer pressure but said ‘I struggle to see any’ as he believed the attack was carried out ‘with general excitement’.
Judge Katz said: ‘I have watched the CCTV footage of the attack more than once, it’s sickening to watch.
‘Her gloating in the aftermath of the attack was shamelessly hateful and dehumanising.
‘People acting in groups often perform acts they would not do alone.’
Betts-Ramsey was obsessed with knives and would have them delivered to the children’s home where she lived.
The victim was persuaded to a roller skating party before being attacked, according to the Old Bailey (pictured).
‘Betts-Ramsey was recruited to lead the attack, her lifestyle at that time and her previous convictions for violence explain why,’ the judge added.
The judge said the group were motivated ‘by a distorted version of revenge’, describing the Snapchat planning of the attack as ‘poisonous’.
Prosecutor Deena Heer, KC, earlier said: ‘This was a planned attack, motivated at least in part by her transgender identity.
‘During the assault she was punched, kicked, stamped on and stabbed, and suffered nine stab wounds.’
On February 10, the victim was lured to a roller skating party with the group, a court heard.
The group, dressed in dark clothing with masks and hoods, were waiting for her at a bus stop.
But once they reached a nearby car park, the girl was ‘immediately attacked’. Betts-Ramsey lunged at the woman on the ground with a knife at least 14 times.
Other members of the trans-hating mob attacked her for about 45 seconds before some fled.
Afterwards Betts-Ramsey, now 20, boasted about the stabbing, posting a story on Snapchat with footage from the attack and laughing emojis, telling friends: ‘I’m going jail… bro I stabbed her 12 times.’
Others taunted the victim sending messages saying: ‘Ur looking sweet.’
In a moving victim impact statement, the transgender girl said she has suffered panic attacks, struggles to sleep, and fears she might not be able to work as a model due to her injuries.
‘I have become depressed and am always in fear leaving the house,’ she said.
‘I am constantly in fear of being assaulted again. I feel at times this is taking over my life.
‘The incident has resulted in thick scars on my body which saddens me every time I see them- I feel like I am the one living a life sentence due to them.
‘In the past I have experienced animosity towards me being transgender but I never thought anyone would have so much hatred for me and want to assault me in the way they did.’
Betts-Ramsey was subject to a community order at the time of the stabbing after being convicted of robbery and battery.
The court was told that the defendants have all apologised since the attack.
