Atlanta Mom Accused of Killing Sons by ‘Placing Them In An Oven and Turning It On’ Sentenced

According to the woman, she came home from work to discover one son “with his brains laid out on the floor,” and the father of the boys, who was contacted via video chat by the mother, described the situation as like “a real horror movie.”
Police in Atlanta have sentenced a mother to life in prison for allegedly killing two of her newborn sons by placing them in the oven.

Lamora Williams, 24, was given a life sentence without the possibility of release on Friday, along with an extra 35 years, according to FOX 5. She was found guilty of 14 crimes, including two counts of murder, related to the 2017 deaths of her two kids, Ke-Yaunte Penn, age two, and Ja-Karter Penn, age one.

On October 13, 2017, Williams dialed 911, saying that when she got home from work after a 12-hour absence, she discovered two of her children dead and their caregiver missing.
According to reports, she asked dispatch, “Can you please help me?” Could you kindly tell me that since this is not my fault, I don’t want to be locked up? I had just returned from my job.

“When I came in, the stove was laying on my son, on my youngest son’s head, and my other son was laid out on the floor with his brains laid out on the floor,” she said. “I am at a loss for what to do. I just got home from my job.

That same evening, Jameel Penn, the father of the boys, also dialed 911, saying he had a video chat with Williams during which Williams showed him their children’s bodies.
The sight “was like a real horror movie,” Penn later told WSB-TV, noting that the crime occurred on Friday the 13th. “When I saw my kid, how I saw my kid, that’s when I knew what was going on.”

The publication was also informed by the police that Jameel Penn Jr., a third child, witnessed his mother allegedly murdering his siblings.

Williams allegedly “knowingly and intentionally” killed the two boys “by placing them in an oven and turning it on” sometime between midnight on October 13, 2017, and 11 p.m. that same evening, according to authorities. The medical examiner apparently disputed with the police’s claim that the boys had suffered serious burns; according to the autopsy report, their heads were lodged in an overturned oven.

Williams’ mother earlier told FOX 5 that she “snapped” following her breakup with Penn and has a history of mental illness. However, she was found guilty on 14 charges by a jury.”I saw this when she revealed it to me over a video call. In the 911 call, he allegedly stated, “I believe they are truly dead.”
