Cardi B may be regretting her rash decision to post and then remove a nasty jab at Southern red states that helped Donald Trump win the presidency in response to Kamala Harris’ election defeat.
Check it out… the rapper, who attended the vice president’s rally in Milwaukee on Friday to advocate for Harris, uploaded a video response to her X account when the results showed that Trump will win the 2024 presidential election.
The number-one artist seemed especially irritated at a few Southern states, yelling… “This explains why hurricanes are occurring in certain of your states. I’m going to say that.”
Cardi quickly removed the statement, suggesting that she could have regretted the comment… but not before followers recorded it and shared it on social media.
She did, however, share a video of herself watching the election results on her Instagram Stories along with a different, more depressing message. “I hate y’all bad.”
In an official Instagram post, Cardi then shifted her attention to Kamala, expressing her pride in the vice president for persevering “against all the odds stacked up against her.”
Additionally, she commended Kamala for demonstrating to her daughters and women around the country that anything is possible.
In the meantime, a number of Harris’ most ardent celebrity backers have voiced their opinions on Donald Trump’s resurgence, ranging from disappointment to sarcasm to sadness.
After President Joe Biden selected Cardi to lead his campaign in July, she became an outspoken advocate for the vice president. The rapper really changed her mind last summer after stating she had no intention of voting in the race prior to Harris being announced as the Democratic nominee.
Cardi was then requested by the Harris-Walz team to join a number of celebrities who traveled to swing states to campaign in the hopes of garnering support in crucial voting areas.
Cardi’s address in Wisconsin last week was memorable, but it might have been because she had to read from her phone because of a teleprompter malfunction.
Cardi’s infamous “Up” speech, however, was insufficient to mobilize people, and Trump won in the dairy state of America.
When we contacted Cardi’s representatives, they chose not to comment.
