Recently, Apple Martin, the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, made her ~debut in society~ at Le Bal des Debutantes. She looked stunning in a custom Valentino dress as she danced around a ballroom with her date and socialized with a number of other debutantes from affluent families around the globe.
Since so many people were filming this event, almost every move Apple made was posted online, including a video that went viral showing her seemingly interrupting another debutante’s photo opportunity and striking multiple postures. Although there was considerable criticism of the incident, it turns out that the claims of “mean girl” behavior are wholly unfounded.
The debutante in the Apple video, Aliénor Loppin de Montmort, told People (via Us Weekly) that “[Apple’s] honestly the loveliest lady ever! She truly isn’t worthy of anything that she is receiving. She treated me and all the debts with the utmost kindness.
That concludes that!
According to reports, Princess Eugenia de Bourbon and Sophia Loren’s granddaughter Lucia Sofia Ponti were among the other debs at the event this season. In addition, Apple is by no means the first famous child to appear at Le Bal des Debutantes. Lily Collins, the daughter of Emily in Paris actress and Phil Collins; Margaret Qualley, the daughter of Andie MacDowell and The Substance actor; Ava Philippe, the daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe; and Scout Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, have all attended previous balls.
