The entertainment industry reacted strongly to Vice President Kamala Harris’ defeat Tuesday night in the 2024 Presidential Election, despite innumerable celebrity endorsements.
Following Donald Trump’s resounding victory, some of Harris’ most outspoken supporters voiced their opinions, ranging from sadness to frustration to dubious comments.
Author Stephen King said that the American institution had been sold out when he posted a statement on democracy on X.
“You can see this sign in many stores that sell lovely but delicate items: LOVELY TO LOOK AT, DELIGHTFUL TO HOLD, BUT ONCE YOU BREAK IT, THEN IT’S SOLD,” he wrote. The same may be said for democracy.

Actress Christina Applegate responded to the news with even more emotion, claiming that her daughter Sadie Grace was “sobbing because her rights as a woman may be taken away.”

The actress from “Dead to Me” then urged her fans who didn’t agree with her political views to unfollow her.
Rapper Cardi B, who supported Harris during the vice president’s event in Milwaukee on Friday, made a crude jab at southern red states on her X account before removing it.
Lili Reinhart, a former cast member of “Riverdale,” expressed her “heart absolutely breaks” for the women who filed sexual assault accusations against Trump, stating that it must have been difficult to watch “millions of people vote for their abuser.”

Additionally, Billie Eilish voiced her opinion by posting an Instagram Story with the caption, “It’s a war on women.”
