“I consider it a ride-along if I’m working with someone I hold in such high regard. Speaking on the ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, Freeman added, “We ride together.”
Morgan Freeman will always remember working with Jack Nicholson on the big screen.
In the latest episode of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s Armchair Expert podcast, which aired Monday, December 2, Freeman, 87, talked candidly about the two Oscar winners’ costarring roles in the 2007 dramedy The Bucket List.
“Did you enjoy creating the bucket list? “I met him prior and told him I’d give him my left testicle,” Shepard, 49, challenged his guest in a funny response to the question, “How’d you get on with Jack Nicholson?”
“When asked whether he would do it, he replied, ‘Send me the script.'” “Yeah, let’s do it,” he said after I sent him the script. Freeman went on. “So there we were, me and Jack Nicholson.”

Freeman and Nicholson play two terminally ill men who leave their cancer hospital and embark on a road trip with a list of things they want to achieve before they pass away in the movie The Bucket List.

“No,” Freeman answered Shepard when asked if he ever became “self-aware of what [he] was experiencing” while working with Nicholson, 87. We were working at work when we were working. However, when I get home, I say, “Jesus f—ing Christ.” “Jack Nicholson.”
“Yeah, but he was probably saying the same thing,” Padman said. “It’s a similar situation for him, I’m sure.”
In response to Shepard’s statement, “Well, I don’t know if Jack has that gear,” Freeman joked, “I don’t think so!” In contrast, Padman said, “I like that attitude you got there.”
