My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar found dead aged 44 in Tennessee home

My Chemical Romance’s former drummer, Bob Bryar, was discovered deceased at the age of 44.

Two days prior to Thanksgiving, on Tuesday, November 26, Bryar’s body was discovered in his Tennessee home.

Law police believes there was no foul play because his possessions, including his firearms and music equipment, were unharmed, according to TMZ.

The publication called the musician’s body “badly decomposed.”

Two dogs were reportedly taken out of the house by Animal Control when they arrived at the scene of the body.

Bryar was reportedly last seen alive on November 4. The cause of his death is still being looked into.

Byar replaced drummer Matt Pelisser soon after the publication of the band’s 2004 album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and he played with the rock group from 2004 to 2010.

All of My Chemical Romance’s greatest songs, including “Welcome to the Black Parade” from 2006, featured him on drums.

Although he contributed to the album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, the Chicago-born drummer left the band in 2010 before its publication.

My Chemical Romance released a statement at the time calling Bryar’s choice “painful.”

Bob Bryar and My Chemical Romance split up as of four weeks ago. We all had to make this difficult choice, and it was not made lightly,” the statement said.

“We hope he succeeds in his future endeavors and ask that you all do the same.”

My Chemical Romance included Bryar as well as Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro, and Frank Iero.

In 2014, Bryar announced his retirement from the music business after years of playing with different bands. He pursued a profession in real estate and collaborated with several dog sanctuaries and rescue organizations.

Bryar revealed on Twitter in 2023 that he has serious mental health problems.

Fans have honored the late musician on social media, reminiscing about his extraordinary talent and time spent influencing genres with My Chemical Romance.
