After their well-publicized falling out, Sharon Osbourne is not a huge fan of Simon Cowell. However, she tells TMZ that she doesn’t care if her daughter Kelly is friendly with the man.
After KO mentioned it in a recent interview, we wanted to find out what SO felt about Kelly and Simon being friends, so we ran into her as she was leaving Kelly’s 40th birthday party in Hollywood.
“I’m happy that she does,” Sharon said when questioned about her friendship with Simon, whom she once again feuded with and had a falling out with during their time on “X Factor UK” and “America’s Got Talent.”
“Simon is fine,” she told TMZ, adding that she didn’t think Kelly should break up with her friend simply because her mother doesn’t like her. Simon is excellent.
Naturally, all of this started when Kelly said to Us Weekly that “I’d never want to disrespect Simon… he’s set in his ways.” Who am I to ever interfere with that? Additionally, he had a professional relationship with my mother.
In essence, Kelly stated that her mom and Simon are at odds, and she had no desire to interfere, as they also don’t appear to want to do.
In 2019, Sharon said that Simon had eliminated her from the UK singing competition because she was “too old”… again, she says, and it seemed to be the tipping point between SO and SC.
We all want to get along, don’t we?
