“Wicked” Toys Hold on, don’t enter that link! Mattel Inadvertently Places a Pornographic Website on the Packaging

Because it put a URL on the back of its Elphaba and Glinda figurines, Mattel has a “Wicked” big problem on its hands. It turns out that the URL is really offensive.

The arrangement is that the toy business is primarily selling action figures of the two main witches, while also pushing dolls of characters from the film based on the Broadway musical of the same name.

Mattel’s ‘Wicked’ doll box inadvertently featured a pornographic website.

The planned web link for the film was “https://t.co/Q2A56WOHul,” however the only word on the box was “wicked.” image.twitter.com/P8pDOh5Au2

They included a URL to the website “www.wicked.com” on the back of the dolls in case customers wanted to buy more, but that isn’t the company’s website. The website is porn!

“www.wickedmovie.com” is the URL for Mattel’s toy catalog. This is a small error that might have serious repercussions for any children who have already visited the website.

It’s clear that parents are furious online, primarily because they visited the website by accident rather than because their child did.

A Mattel representative informs TMZ that they are aware of the error, which is mostly found on dolls that are sold in the United States. They are taking steps to make sure that no dolls in the future have the wrong URL on the back, and they sincerely apologize for the mistake.

Mattel advises parents to either throw away the product box or hide the link. If they have any additional questions, they should get in touch with Mattel customer support.

In conclusion, unless they want to respond to some extremely uncomfortable inquiries, parents should check out the website on the back of the box!
