Dolly Parton Brother David Dead at 82

According to their sister, who paid respects to her brother on social media, Dolly Parton’s brother David passed away.

It’s never easy to lose a loved one, but Stella Parton knows David is at peace now. She shared the terrible news on X Friday, stating her amazing brother had died.

His obituary was placed on the website of the Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, Tennessee, indicating that he died quietly at home. There was no mention of the reason of death.

David was a bridge constructor superintendent who oversaw work throughout Tennessee, according to the obituary. He was a Marine, as Stella revealed in one of her posts; his profile also mentioned this accomplishment.

Although Dolly rarely discusses her family, she has thanked them for their unwavering support of her business throughout the years.

On the same day that her new project, “Smoky Mountain DNA,” a love letter to her heritage, was released, she turned to Instagram yesterday to express her gratitude to her family, both past and present, for helping her become the music icon that she is today.
