King Charles extends olive branch to Prince Andrew amid feud over Royal Lodge: report

According to reports, the 76-year-old king has invited Prince Andrew, his scandal-plagued younger brother, to his lavish Christmas party next month as a gesture of goodwill.

Some may be surprised by the king’s choice to invite the disgraced Duke of York, considering their acrimonious spat over the Royal Lodge, where Andrew currently dwells.

According to the Mirror, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are among the other royals scheduled to attend Charles’ joyous occasion.
Charles has made a strong commitment to keeping the family together, according to sources who spoke to the site. This is especially true after the royal family’s trying year due to a number of health issues.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, along with their two children, Lady Louise, 20, and James, Earl of Wessex, 16, are also said to have been invited.

Buckingham Palace has been contacted by The Post for comment.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were apparently left off of the invitation list to spend Christmas with the royals at Sandringham, are two royals who most certainly won’t be there.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been spotted together on Harry’s home turf since 2022 after losing their taxpayer-funded security protection.

The continuous conflict between Andrew and his brother, which began years ago when the duke was connected to the disgraced late financier Jeffrey Epstein, has gotten worse during the past 12 months.

Andrew’s brother refused to move, despite Charles’s urgent attempts to get him off of the expansive estate and into a smaller one.
After Charles declined to continue bearing his brother’s financial burden, Andrew, 64, was finally ready to depart the Royal Lodge last month.

But it was shocking to learn that Andrew had at the last minute secured an unidentified financial supporter, which allowed him and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, to stay at the royal residence.

Due to upkeep and security concerns, the monarch became “fed up” with the process and began removing treasures from the residence.

Nevertheless, it seems like the rival brothers would set aside their disagreements for the holiday season.
