Let’s send our prayers to Sharon Stone after such devastating news

Actress Sharon Stone suffered additional heartache over a year and a half after losing her nephew River, who passed away at the age of 11 months due to “total organ failure.” Regretfully, in the wee hours of Sunday morning, her brother Patrick, 57, passed away in Pennsylvania from a heart attack.

In a touching remembrance, Stone shared pictures of herself and Patrick on Instagram on Monday, confirming the news reports of her brother’s death.

The Basic Instinct star wrote, “RIP, my brother Patrick Joseph Stone.”

Tasha, Patrick’s wife, also expressed her grief over her husband’s untimely passing on Instagram.

“I feel as though my heart has been torn from my chest. Around 3:30 this morning, Patrick left to spend time with our beloved River.

“He gave me three beautiful children that he loved and adored,” she went on.

“He made care to express his love and appreciation for me in a meaningful way. I knew I was going to marry him the moment I laid eyes on him. I connected with him right away, and we drove each other crazy for 20 years while simultaneously having a profound affection for one another. Without my best pal, I feel adrift.

Tasha went on to say that the only consolation she found was that Patrick’s final days were joyful.
“What if he was able to take the memories with him knowing without a doubt that he was greatly loved, and I am destined to carry the memory of our almost ideal day so that I can smile and feel love when I think of him?”

Even if that is the reason for his death, I don’t want to accept that. Even though 20 years is a long time, it wasn’t long enough for me to have a lifetime with him. My soul match was him. Even when we were at our worst, we had each other.

When River passed away in 2011, one month before his first birthday, Stone disclosed that the fact that River’s organs saved three lives was the thing that supported them the most during their grieving process.

At the time, she told People, “My godson’s ability to save three lives—two infants and a 45-year-old man—was a haven for our family.”

It is impossible to predict when a tragedy may strike in your life or in your family, but this option to donate your organs rescued our family.

“There are a lot of different opinions about this, but ultimately, it brought us some peace.”

Patrick, may you rest in peace. Your beloved son is back with you.
