In his ruthless response to his impending bout, Mike Tyson appeared to “forget” he was speaking to a child.
There have been several viral moments leading up to tonight’s (15 November) major boxing match between the great and Jake Paul.
In addition to the video of Tyson slapping his opponent during their weigh-in, there is also a video of a 13-year-old reporter interviewing him.
He spoke with teenager Jazlyn Guerra on Jazzy’s World TV about his early years, his happiness, and, of course, his heated argument with the YouTuber on Netflix Live.
However, Tyson responded to a question regarding legacy in a really direct manner.
“What kind of legacy would you like to leave behind when it’s all said and done?” the teenager inquired.
The fighter also asserted that he doesn’t “believe in the word legacy” and that it’s simply another word for “ego.”
“That’s just some word everybody grabbed onto now,” the 58-year-old clarified. Every five seconds, it is used. To me, it means nothing at all. I’m simply stopping by. It’s going to end when I die. After that, who gives a damn about legacy?
He continued by saying that after we pass away, “we are nothing.”
He went on, “We’re nothing at all, we’re dead, we’re dust.” “There is nothing left of our legacy.”
The 13-year-old acknowledged that she had “not heard” an answer like that before, but she handled the candor really well.

Tyson went all out after that.
“When I get that, can you really picture someone saying, ‘I want my legacy to be this way?'” the fighter questioned.
“You believe that someone genuinely wants to consider you? When I’m gone, I want people to think about me. Who the f**k gives a damn about me?
On X, many wrote: “Mike Tyson definitely forgot he was talking to a kid while answering that question,” indicating that they were generally shocked by his harsh response and profanity.

He had “a point,” according to some, but it was “a bit too negative,” and one person made the joke that the 13-year-old is “about to go through an existential crisis.”
“That was golden,” another person remarked. She also gave the ideal reaction. It was the meeting of two universes. A fiery young girl full of life and all the possibilities that awaited her contrasts with a grizzly elderly stone cold killer just before a fight.
