In light of Dave Coulier’s cancer diagnosis, John Stamos is expressing his support for him.
The Full House co-stars shared a collaborative carousel with a special message on Instagram on Monday, November 18.
Stamos, 61, started the caption for the three-photo roundup by saying, “There’s nothing like putting on a bald cap and showing off some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier.”
“It’s inspiring how strong and upbeat you are handling this. Along with adding that Coulier’s wife Melissa “is the most wonderfulest,” Stamos said, “I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way.”
The first picture featured the lifelong friends and former co-stars smiling together, with Stamos sporting a baldcap in solidarity and Coulier, 65, sporting a shaved head.
Stamos chuckled with Coulier as he assisted him in shaving his head for the second stroke. In the last picture, Melissa and Stamos were seen kissing Coulier’s bald head.
On November 13, Coulier exclusively told PEOPLE that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
After an upper respiratory infection in October caused his lymph nodes to enlarge rapidly, with one area growing to the size of a golf ball, he discovered he had cancer. At the recommendation of his physicians, Coulier had a biopsy and underwent PET and CT scans as a result of the growth.
“My doctors called me back three days later and said, ‘We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is called B cell and it’s very aggressive,'” he related.
“It was quite overwhelming to go from having a slight cold to being diagnosed with cancer,” Coulier told PEOPLE. “This journey has been an extremely fast roller coaster.”
He informed his Full House family, which includes Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, Scott Weinger, and series creator Jeff Franklin, of the news after he received it.
“I sent a text message out because I didn’t want them to hear it from someone else,” the actor added, adding that everyone’s response “was immediate.”

“I will be there,” was the only thing that came out. What can we do? You just specify the time, and I’m sure Mel has you covered. The affection we share for one another is quite overpowering. It’s quite amazing that we have supported one another for so many years.
In a social media post hours after Dave’s interview with PEOPLE was made public, Stamos assured his friend that he would “be by your side through it all.”
